When the going gets tough…

We BelieveWe’ve all experienced it. The dreaded slump at work! What do you do when you find yourself in a motivational low point? I actually didn’t know the answer to this until recently. You’ve got to find what works for you.  Hopefully following these tips will help!

  • Take a break! Make yourself leave the office and clear your thoughts.  Remember that it’s ok to walk away… As long as you come back!
  • Review and Appreciate. Work is hard, that’s why it’s called a job. Recognize some of the challenges that you’ve overcome in the past and celebrate those. Remember that what you’re going through now will pass with time.
  • Talk about it. Keeping the stress and pressure that you’re feeling hidden will not help alleviate any of the pressure you’re feeling. Others will be happy to know that you’re open to share your struggles and that will help build a team environment in your office.
  • Exercise. Release those endorphins!!  It’s a proven fact that exercising and happiness go hand in hand. Even though it’s not always fun, the physical and emotional payoffs are well worth it.
Once you’re ready, Prioritize, Plan and Execute a plan to get out of your slump. Decide what tasks need to be taken care of first, make a plan and execute it.  After you’ve alleviated the stress by following the above steps, this will seem easy and you will be right back in the swing of things! Best of luck!!!

See ya next month!
