The Brooks Clubhouse is Now Open!
Some of you might be asking, "What is Brooks Clubhouse?"
The Clubhouse is a full-time day program that provides for the long-term recovery needs of individuals who have suffered from an acquired neurological injury. Available to any adult 16 and up, the focus of the Clubhouse is to develop strengths, talents, abilities, and individual goals.
iMethods has been working with the Clubhouse by offering career consulting and putting Brooks in contact with other volunteers to really help move the program along.
The Brooks Clubhouse is set into three primary work units:
Business Unit: This unit helps work with business type tasks such as file maintenance, to reception, and even computer skilled tasks.
Food and Kitchen Unit: This unit works to help meet daily nutrional needs for the Clubhouse. It involes shopping, preparing, serving, and clean-up.
Facility and Grounds Maintenance and Product Production: This unit works for the overall maintenance and repair or both indoor and outdoor areas. They also involve members in hand-constructed projects.
