Spring Cleaning our Lives…
Ever Considered Swamp Draining?

We BelieveThese days, I know I have thought about it!  In some of my reading lately, I came across an article that referenced  this very thing and it struck a chord with me and really got me thinking.  Most recently, I have been putting a lot of thought into a few of life’s most asked questions… Is your life where you truly want it to be at this moment? Are you taking time to smell the roses?  Is there a dream that you want to fulfill once and for all?  Well, what needs to happen to get back on track, what can be put aside so that you can not only smell the flowers…but INHALE them and what are the steps you need to take to get your dream resurrected?

The answer lies in swamp draining…taking purposeful time to plan & focus and finding ways to MOVE the large obstacles keeping us from achieving!!  I think we tend to get so caught up in fending off alligators, crocodiles and various other “swamp dwellers”-meaning our day to day survival efforts- that we don’t have the time, motivation or energy  to really dig into the important stuff-which would be….Swamp Draining!  In the long run, this is what really matters most - taking a moment to tackle the BIG things in life so that the day to day stuff comes together as close to effortlessly as possible.

Start by coming up with your vision and what strategy or game plan you can create to make "Your Life’s Questions” a reality!  Doing this will almost guarantee that what you do on a daily basis will start to make sense and move you ahead.  You will soon find that once YOUR swamp is drained of the BIG obstacles and stuff in life, then you won’t have to worry about your so-called “swamp dwellers” and existing in survival mode.

A great way to start is by scheduling time…sacred, dedicated and personal time!  Just take 30 minutes once a month to re-focus, re-adjust and re-strategize how you are going to accomplish the goals you have set for yourself.  Setting aside time for planning, dreaming and of course draining YOUR swamp of the large obstacles will keep you in check for living the life you want.  Trust me…it will be the beginning of something truly… Fabulous!
